1. Booking and Cancellation Policy
All bookings for lifestyle photo shoots, including but not limited to maternity and family sessions, must be confirmed with a non-refundable deposit. This deposit secures your date and time.
Clients are allowed to reschedule their photo shoot once without any additional charges, provided the request is made at least 24 hours in advance.
Cancellations or rescheduling requests made more than once and not within 24 hours’ notice will forfeiture of the deposit.
2. Usage period of Photo Shoot Bookings for Lifestyle Photoshoot (Weddings excluded)
Please note that once your lifestyle photoshoot is booked and a deposit is made, the booking must be utilized with a reasonable 1 year time frame. For example, if you book a family photoshoot in May 2021 and you cancel it, you cannot reschedule the same booking for three years later. In such cases, the deposit will be forfeited, and a new booking will need to be made.
Any lifestyle bookings that are not used within one year will be considered expired. No refunds will be issued for expired bookings, and a new booking will be required if you wish to schedule a photo shoot after this period.
Special Circumstances: If you need to extend the validity of your booking beyond one year due to special circumstances, please contact us as soon as possible. Extensions may be granted at our discretion.
3. Image Rights
The photographer retains the copyright to all images and reserves the right to use them for promotional purposes unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.
4. Refund Policy
All deposits are non-refundable. Payments for completed services are also non-refundable, except in cases where the photographer cancels the agreed-upon services.
5. Late Arrivals
Kindly arrive on time for your photoshoot. For beach photoshoots we start early to get the best light. If you do run late between 10-20 minutes, please note this will affect the quantity of images you receive.
If you are later than 30 minutes for a photoshoot, the photoshoot will be cancelled, and you will need to rebook your photoshoot with a late arrival fee of R250.
If an event starts later than the agreed coverage time, no refunds will be issued, and your coverage time will not be extended. Example: Booking for a 2pm-4pm coverage and you arriving at your event at 3pm.
6. Coverage & Quantity of Images
The number of images delivered is contingent upon the smooth running of the event as scheduled.
If there are delays or interruptions caused by circumstances outside of my control, including but not limited to, late arrival of vendors (such as makeup artists, hairstylists, or event coordinators), venue restrictions, weather conditions, or unforeseen delays caused by the client or their guests, Aurelia Photography cannot guarantee the specified number of images. Such delays or interruptions may result in fewer images being taken and/or delivered. I will make every reasonable effort to adapt to changing circumstances, but the final number of images provided will reflect the time available for photography during the event.
7. Please dont ask for RAW or Unedited Images
Please note I strictly do not give out my raw images or your full gallery (every image taken on the day of your photoshoot) as part of my commitment to delivering high-quality work, I carefully select the best images from your session. The final number of images you receive will be discussed and agreed prior to your photoshoot.
8. Re-editing of your Gallery
If, after receiving your gallery, you request a re-edit of your photoshoot (such as altering the style from brighter to moodier, adjusting colour saturation, removing pimples, removing a bra strap etc.), a re-editing fee of R500 per hour (I will let you know how long your request takes) will apply. Re-editing is a time-consuming process, and this fee ensures the dedication and care required to meet your new vision. Please make sure you are familiar with and appreciate my unique style of photography when booking. as an experienced artist, i have developed a distinct approach that reflects my creative vision and expertise. i take great care in editing to present the best version of your photos, and i hope you’ll trust my artistic judgment.

Frequently Asked Questions
What do we wear for the lifestyle photos?
Looking at my previous sessions or Pinterest is a great place to draw inspiration for what to wear. Bring a few outfit options if you are not sure, I do request NO big brand names and simple matching outfits please.
What if I need to cancel?
The deposit is non refundable, unfortunately we book the date for you and close that date for any other clients. You are more than welcome to cancel within 24 hours’ notice and reschedule for another date.
What if the weather is bad?
I'm up for an adventure in the rain or wind, sometimes it makes the most beautiful photos. I would suggest an adventurous rainy elopement or couple’s photoshoot if that’s your vibe and you are up for the challenge, any other photoshoot we would need to reschedule.
What equipment do you use?
At the moment I shoot with Canon.
Do you give out RAW images?
No I don’t, editing is a huge part of the creative process. I promise to give you all the memories you would want.
Can you photoshop me?
I can clear skin, remove pimples and enhance features but I don’t make your bodies look different. I focus on capturing your natural beauty.
What do you need from us before our wedding day?
The schedule for your wedding day and a list of the people's names you would like in your family photos.
How do I book for my wedding or a lifestyle shoot?
A 50% deposit is required to make the date yours. The remainder to be paid 7 days before your date.
When will we get our photos?
For weddings you will receive your images 6-8 weeks after your wedding, delivery of wedding albums excluded. Lifestyle images will take around 2 weeks.
